Yard equipment.
Our school yard is a lively and active place at break times, thanks to a variety of fun equipment and games available to all students. From skipping ropes and hula hoops to balls and obstacle courses, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. These activities not only make break time more enjoyable, but they also encourage students to stay active, develop coordination, and build positive social skills through teamwork and play. By promoting movement and fun, our yard equipment supports both physical health and overall well-being.
Halloween ‘Spook Walk’
The Halloween Spook Walk in the Bogies is one of the most exciting events in our school calendar! Each year, students, teachers, and families come together for a fun-filled spook walk in the Bogies. Everyone loves the mix of gentle scares, teamwork, and community spirit. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween and create lasting memories together. Parents are always welcome.
Jingle Jog
The School Jingle Jog in the Bogies is a joyful and festive event that everyone looks forward to each year. Students and teachers dress up in Santa hats, tinsel, and Christmas colours before setting off on a fun walk/jog through the Bogies. Bells jingle, laughter fills the air, and the spirit of togetherness shines bright. It’s a wonderful way to stay active while celebrating the holiday season. The Jingle Jog brings our whole school community together in fun, fitness, and festive cheer! Parent’s are always welcome.
Active Walkway
Our school created an Active School WALKWAY route and uses it to promote physical activity and cross-curricular learning. Older children team up with younger children to make it extra fun for everyone.

Active Break Every Day
Every class completed the ‘Active Break Every Day’ challenge, as a whole school initiative, during the first term. We took regular movement breaks every day by playing outdoor games, doing exercises, completing our daily mile, training for ‘Marathonkids’ and dance breaks outdoors and indoors on rainy days.

‘Run Around Europe’ Challenge
The Run Around Europe Challenge is a fun and active way for our school to keep fit while learning about Geography. Each class works together to “travel” across Europe by running laps in the yard, with every lap adding to the total distance covered. Along the way, students learn interesting facts about different countries, landmarks, and cultures. It encourages teamwork, perseverance, and a love of movement. The challenge helps everyone stay active while exploring the world in a creative and exciting way!

Active week
Active Week is one of the most energetic and exciting times of the year in our school. Each day is filled with fun activities like dance, yoga, running, and team games that get everyone moving and smiling. Students and teachers take part together, promoting fitness, friendship, and a love of being active. The highlight of the week is Sports Day, where everyone enjoys races, challenges, and plenty of cheering and laughter. Active Week encourages healthy habits and reminds us that exercise can be fun for everyone!
