School Choir
The school choir is a vibrant and inclusive group that brings students together through a shared love of music. Children from the 5th and 6th classes are part of our choir. The choir provides opportunities for students to develop their vocal skills, build confidence, and perform at school events, community functions, and competitions. Practices are held regularly, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a sense of belonging. Whether performing uplifting pop songs, classical pieces, or seasonal favorites, the choir plays an important role in enriching our school’s cultural life.
Pupils perform as the school choir for important events and occasions. They sing for the Communion and Confirmation ceremonies and other masses and services during the year. They also visit the local old folks home and Santa Sabina House before Christmas to sing Christmas carols for the residents.
This year, the school choir is currently preparing for “Peace Proms” which will be held in the RDS in March 2026.
Music Generation
2nd – 4th classes are participating in “Music Generation” this year.
Music Generation is Ireland’s national music education programme, bringing high-quality music lessons to children and young people across the country. Through this initiative, our school has the opportunity to work with professional musicians and take part in engaging, hands-on music workshops. Whether it’s learning an instrument, exploring different musical styles, or performing as part of an ensemble, Music Generation helps students discover their talents and grow in confidence. This exciting programme supports creativity, self-expression, and a lifelong love of music in our school community.
